FENIX SEATTLE (2015-2020)

Fenix Seattle served over 400 families who participated in practices, tournaments, leagues, camps, and clinics. However, we didn;t do it alone. We were grateful to work with partners who helped us grow an amazing community: Ballard Boys and Girls Club, Seattle Public Schools, Seattle Parks & Rec, University of Washington's Center for Leadership in Athletics, and more.

FENIX 3X (2021)

As society began to recover from the covid pandemic, we wanted to be mindful of the journey it would take for Seattle youth to return safely physically and mentally. Fenix 3X was the perfect answer. Fenix Seattle was the first program in the nation to run youth 3X3 clinics and experiences – with official FIBA 3X3 basketballs, 12-15 second shot clocks, and serving youth from 10-17 years old.

“YOU GOT NEXT” BASKETBALL FESTIVAL (2022)

In partnership with the King County Play Equity Coalition and Seattle Sports Commission, Fenix Seattle was tasked to create two events that radiated BASKETBALL EQUITY. The result = Fenix designed, managed, and operated two 3X3 basketball festivals with the City of Tukwila and Kent YMCA. The festivals provided over 800 youth with free basketball participation, basketballs, t-shirts, water bottles, food, and more while attracting support from companies like Amazon, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Gatorade.

JAPAN

fenix JAPAN (2015〜)

Since 2015, Fenix Japan has been running international experiences, clinics, camps, tours, and events in Niigata, Kanagawa, Tokyo, Nagano, and Okinawa. Serving over 1100 athletes, Fenix Japan hopes to show all of the ways basketball can develop the life skills of our youth while providing the highest quality of basketball instruction and experiences. We want to bring the global standard of basketball and youth development to Japan so young people can unlock new pathways to their dreams.

FENIX HOOP SUMMIT – JAPAN (2019)

For the Fenix Hoop Summit, Fenix Japan hosted coaches from Fenix Seattle who led 13 clinics and camps across 5 different cities in Japan. Our Seattle coaches – Tyreese Breshers and Dylan Kartchner – expanded the Fenix family by working with over 300 Japanese athletes and for the first time experienced all of the amazing things about Japanese culture. Japanese athletes worked on skill development, athletic development, mindfulness, and practiced English! Thank you to the local newspapers for sharing our stories and to the coaches who welcomed us.

FENIX HOOP TOUR – LOS ANGELES (SINCE 2022)

Young basketball hoopers from Japan got to experience what it’s like to be part of the Los Angeles basketball culture. We got to see Lebron James and the Lakers, Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers, and USC + UCLA basketball! Our visitors also got to experience great food and the best places to shop for basketball gear and shoes. We also stayed in an Airbnb all together and shared so many memories.

Thank you to coaches Van Girard, Devin Williams + In the Lab coaches, and Olin Simplis for letting our players train and learn from you. At the end of the trip, our athletes felt like their lives completely changed. They felt like they challenged themselves and next FENIX HOOP TOUR they’ll be ready to take on more challenges.

Finally, thank you to Phil Handy for your support and for talking to our athletes on the Lakers court after the game. This experience is something they will never forget,
